Safety

Maintaining the safety and comfort of all customers is our most paramount concern. Many tour concerns may be minimized through proper planning of course operation procedures. A professional attitude toward customer well being will ensure a long history of positive client experiences.

EBL has developed custom harnesses, pulleys, and safety lanyards in conjunction with an ISO-9001 registered company. All lanyards, pulleys, and carabiners are selected and designed specifically for their industrial use and operation with zip line ecology tours. Many components are rated and break test well over 7,000 lbs. Tour pulleys are rated to and break test at around 19,000 lbs.

EBL will, from time to time, take select equipment from courses and conduct break tests to determine how equipment is wearing and tearing after use by thousands of zip tour participants. Currently, we have a working knowledge of over 1,000,000 participant cycles on our client tours. These results help us provide more accurate information for our clients and help maximize equipment life cycles without compromising customer or course integrity. No other vendor that we are aware of, has this depth of understanding.

It is because of the unique issues surrounding zip line tour operations, maintenance schedules, and equipment demands, that EBL is selective with whom we partner and do business. This strict adherence to quality is your assurance that courses maintained by EBL routinely train and test guides, inform clients of current industry standards (often contributing to future additions), and are maintained and operated to the highest level of professionalism.
